DGUSA AND EVOLVE UPDATES ON FINLAY VS. CALLIHAN, NC DEBUT AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-04-18 10:30:20
With the exception of Cheech, the talents that didn't get over the border into Canada over the weekend were turned away due to past legal issues. EVOLVE had specifically booked talents they were under the belief wouldn't have an issue getting into Canada, which is why he was so angry when they were turned away. In the case of Bobby Fish, I was told it was an offense that was over a decade old, so he was shocked it was even an issue.

While there was talk of dropping everyone who didn't get across, AR Fox is already being advertised for a showdown with Sami Callihan for the North Carolina events next month. The promotion is running 5/11 in Charlotte, NC and 5/12 in Concord, NC. For ticket information, visit www.dgusa.tv.

The Sami Callihan vs. Finlay bout at EVOLVE 11 is every bit as good as their first match in NYC. Callihan's head was split open immediately with a nasty headbutt. Well worth going out of your way to see the bout, which you can order at this link.

DGUSA champion Johnny Gargano will be defending his title in North Carolina.

The company is already teasing additional members will be added to Chuck Taylor's Gentlemen's Club stable.

In a move that blows my mind on many levels, manager Larry Dallas will be heading to Japan for an extended tour. I have to admit I didn't see that one coming.
